Our mission is to inspire and promote excellence in creativity and visual arts through education, application and real world opportunities.

Our students are given the tools and skills they need to succeed both now and in the future. Florida Film Academy is a leader in visual arts education.

Students learn the power of visual communication through the framework of film and visual production, applying key skills such as reflective analysis, problem solving skills, critical thinking and teamwork.

Our instructors have over 40 years combined experience in the broadcast and media industries and still actively work as writers, producers, directors, cinematographers and photographers for some of the world’s top networks.

Our classrooms are equipped with state of the art technology and our students are encouraged to share their work with a wider audience through festival submission and theatre screenings.

Our Credentials

Combined, the Florida Film Academy team has over 4 decades experience in the Film and Television Industry.

We have produced over 200 television programs and films for some of the tops names in media:  National Geographic, BBC, Fox, Channel 5, Discovery, Animal Planet to name a few.

Our shows can be found on these channels and also syndicated around the world in outlets such as Netflix, British Airways, hotel chains etc.

Kay Hill

Kay Hill

Executive VP of Programming

Our Executive VP of Programming, Kay Hill, is a writer, producer and show runner for many top international TV shows.  She is a Fellow and USA connector for the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufacture and Commerce, a Board Advisor for the National Geographic Society’s All Road Film Initiative, a UK School Governor, a creative consultant and speaker at major industry events worldwide.

Stefanie Robinson

Stefanie Robinson

VP of Operations

VP of Operations, Stefanie Esquijarosa is a broadcast major and Production Manager for Steel Spyda. Stefanie is at the sharp end of film and TV – assisting with the production of documentaries both on and off location.  She also has years of educational experience under her belt in broadcast and creative writing.  Her passion for creative storytelling combined with her highly praised teaching skills make her perfectly placed to inspire the next generation of filmmakers through Florida Film Academy.

David Haynes

David Haynes

EVP of Creative Media

David Haynes, our EVP of Creative Media, is a master photographer and cinematographer.  David has shot many industrial and engineering projects, including the CERN Large Hadron Collider, Ice Hotel, Hoover Dam Bridge, and Spaceport America for National Geographic’s popular Megastructure Series and his stunning representations of these engineering masterpieces and the people behind the scenes have been widely praised.  He has also travelled the world in search of the greatest wild events on the planet.
