Essence, Accident & Implementation Workshop 

Meets Friday OR Saturday  from 10:00am-5:00pm & Sunday from 1:00pm - 5:00pm

Actor, Producer, Director, Tim Powell shares his years of scholastic and workplace experience with the acting community.

There are two separate workshops over three days of that can be taken individually or combined at a discounted rate. The Friday and Saturday workshops are identical and include a Q&A “working” lunch in the price. Sunday's workshop is considered "day 2" of the workshop.

What You’ll Learn:

• What it means to “do your acting homework.” How to know right away if a role is “right for you."
• What it takes to walk into a room and “own it” each and every time.
• How other people see you. Its learned.
• There is a vocabulary.
• It can be yours.

Essence is the combination of qualities that make you uniquely “You.” Actors must know what they bring into a room. How they’re perceived, what people see when they see them, and how to describe and implement this information into crafting their work. You may have a clear understanding of who you really are, a vital self-awareness, but you might not know what Casting Directors, Directors, and Producers see when they see you - more often than you can imagine they are NOT the same. There are ways to reveal and comprehend this vital information and incorporate it into your work.

Accident refers to those physical characteristics and “contingencies” that make up the physicality of you, not just in the happenstance of your circumstance, but in the process itself. There are no mistakes, only "happy accidents."

Implementation

Learn these fundamental realities and incorporate them into your work.

Performance clips and self-taping

Casting entities need to see you in action? If you have current TV and film footage there are ways to optimize these pieces. If you don’t have footage they still need to see your work on screen. Learn what they’re looking for and how to “roll your own” when it comes to content. 

Learn how to get it up there, economically, quickly, and professionally. These are “Performance Clips.” 

Self taping fundamentals and discussions on Optimization and quality deliverables.
It doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg. It’s not rocket science. You can do it yourself and get it seen.
