We are committed to offering you the best possible experience, whether it's a mix of film and fun at Summer Camp, a truly unique immersion experience with one of our broadcast partners, a short course on your chosen aspect of the industry or a real world opportunity to take part in an actual shoot.

Who We Are...

Kay Hill - Executive Vice President of Programming

As co-founder of the Steel Spyda Production Group - and a professional writer and producer - Kay has spent decades traveling the world and bringing these experiences to the screen in a fun and entertaining way.

Her credits include many of the world’s top broadcasters including National Geographic, Discovery, Animal Planet and the BBC.

When she’s not in the field, Kay actively supports new filmmakers - both in her teaching roles and through her work with National Geographic’s All Roads Film Project.

 

David Haynes - Director of Creative Media

David Haynes

On location 2012 for National Geographic Channel

David is an expert photographer and cinematographer with an impressive list of credits for many of the creative industry's top names - including the BBC, Discovery and National Geographic. Although his photographic experience and expertise spans from wildlife to reality, his most recent passion is heavy industry.

David has shot many industrial and engineering projects, including the CERN Large Hadron Collider, Ice Hotel, Hoover Dam Bridge, and Spaceport America and his stunning representations of these engineering masterpieces and the people behind the scenes have been widely praised.

Photography has been a life long passion for David and his connection with the camera, combined with a unique and fresh approach to the subject, results in a one of a kind portrayal depicting the intricacies of a subject - from a unique and original perspective. His work adorns many corporate boardrooms and is frequently seen in the international media. He is currently in production on a range of photographic books. When not on location, David shares his skills as a senior instructor for Florida Film Academy and undertakes a selection of corporate and educational commissions.

 

Stefanie Esquijarosa - Director of Operations

As Production Manager for Steel Spyda, Stefanie is at the sharp end of film and TV - assisting with the production of documentaries both on, and off, location.

She also has years of educational experience under her belt in broadcast and creative writing.

Her passion for creative storytelling combined with organizational skills make her perfectly placed to inspire the next generation of filmmakers through Florida Film Academy.
