Students break into film crews producing original short movies. New challenges and techniques are given throughout each project allowing students to take new approaches to story telling and inspire our youth filmmakers!

Students develop original concepts, film, direct, edit, and act in front of the camera in this course. All equipment is included with tuition.

5:30pm – Kids Game Design & Coding – Ages 7-13:

Your child will learn storyline development, character creation, coding, design, emerging technology and how to run a game studio! Kids will start by learning the fundamentals of coding and design by making games and will learn to create a virtual world. Kids will also learn to make Pixel Art, digital animation and stop motion.

Our program focuses on teaching kids confidence, leadership and using imagination to bring creations to life. You’ll be amazed at what they can create! Students learn programming, design, scripting and so much more that can be applied to other technologies. Real world coding skills provide an early advantage.

Program designed to meet the national standards in STEM: Science (NSES), technology, engineering (NGSS) & Math (CCMS). There is a Showcase in May where you can see their games, projects and designs in action and play their creations!

6:30pm – Stop Motion – Ages 7-13:

Love stop motion movies? Learn to make your own in our stop motion maker studio! Students produce short films throughout the year. Students are challenged to build mini sets and bring in their characters for their short films! Students develop original concepts, film, direct, and edit in this course.

6:30pm – Film Media Master Class – Ages 7-12 & 13-18:

Master Class – One of our most popular courses!

Master Class focusses on a different film making technique, style or project every few weeks! Think guerilla filmmaking, experimental, photography, editing and more.

This class can be taken as a stand alone course or as a compliment to our Make a Movie and Film Maker courses.

6:30pm – iLAB Makers Master Class – Ages 7-13:

Students will be exploring different subjects each month in the iLAB master class experience. Items include but not limited to Coding, Robotics, Electronics, 3D Printing & more!

Sample months: Kids will work on maker projects & emerging technology with Arduino, sensors, wearables, 3d printing & Raspberry PI. Raspberry pi is a pocket sized computer with incredible extensibility that kids can build themselves. This exciting class focuses on developing strong maker and inventor skills, and on working with inventions, robots, devices and sensors that connect to and are controlled by a computer.
