Florida Film Academy adult students put their skills to the test in our new FILM MAKERS class.

This 10 week long intensive program sees students work through every aspect of independent film making. Using pro equipment and guided by industry experts the crew gets to grips with storytelling, directing, filming, editing and finally mastering a fully completed short film - ready for submission to the festival circuit.

With several classes already under their belt - storytelling, scripting and training in the equipment - this week's session included pitching their stories and planning their first short film.

Each member of the team came up with their own story and had to pitch to the class.  A vote was then held (results to be revealed next week) with the winner becoming their festival entry.

Then, the first exercise - a short film to be filmed on site and to cover several specific themes.  In less than an hour, the story was outlined, roles chosen and camera angles, moves and lighting planned.

Next week begins with filming...
