Ready to start planning next summer? Our camps and courses are for ages 7-18 and include everything from beginner’s make a movie and themed camps to more advanced DSLR camps and our full movie making experience Pre College courses.
Florida Film Academy
Learn filmmaking this summer!
Our week-long Make a Movie themed camps are action packed and a lot of fun – students experience directing, filming acting and post production with easy to use – but very powerful – film tools.
Students ready to tackle the next level produce short films with large sensor DSLR cameras and independent sound equipment.
In our intensive Pre-College courses, students work with industry professionals as they learn how to write, produce, direct, film, edit and master a short film in preparation for festival entry. Students are split into crews of appropriate age and experience, with an individualized curriculum.
There are also Special FX, Animation and Character Design and Movie Make Up courses to choose from!
No prior experience necessary and all equipment is provided.

Our Summer 2018 Schedules
Beginner – Intermediate – Advanced
We run our summer program at our Winter Garden Studio Backlot as well as at Flagler College in St Augustine and Eckerd College in St Pete’s (serving the Tampa area).
Courses offered at each are detailed on the pages linked below, some of the more advanced courses at Flagler and Eckerd offer residency options for students in college dorms.
Our camps are customized for all experience levels – from beginner to advanced festival-level filmmakers.
PreCollege St Augustine

Summer 2018 Pre College
PRECOLLEGE EXPERIENCE! Choose Flagler College or Eckerd College. Ages 14-18. Our most intensive courses offer students a chance to experience college level filmmaking and life. Choose from Flagler College or Eckerd College and work with industry professionals as you learn how to write, produce, direct, film, edit and master a short film in preparation for festival entry.
