Course Progression
HOW DO FLORIDA FILM ACADEMY STUDENTS LEARN AND PROGRESS?
Our courses are designed around a system of Progressive Learning.
Students begin with MAKE A MOVIE – (they can achieve this through After School or Summer camp).
Then they move into FILM MAKING. This course enhances involves more advanced projects and challenges.
From FILM MAKING students take ADVANCED FILM.
Then follows a series of specialties across the year, including SPECIAL EFFECTS, LIGHTING, ADVANCED GREEN SCREEN, DIRECTING, EXPERIMENTAL FILM, MUSIC FOR FILM, it also provides a foundation in genre and style including FACTUAL, DRAMA, FILM NOIR, ACTION and for our more technically focussed students we do offer a separate editing class every Wednesday.
CREATIVE WRITING follows a similar pattern of progression.
At the end of each course, or course element, such as ADVANCED FILM LIGHTING, the student will receive a certificate of completion.
Although the times may run concurrently, every course is split into appropriate Age Groups and Experience, with separate teaching staff.
